These automakers have not only produced some of the finest supercars in the world, but they have also made some of the best performance engines.
One of the best performance engines in the world is the Ferrari Tipo F163 CE V6. Ferrari's first try at a turbocharged street legal V6 engine is now the most powerful V6 engine in the world, producing a thundering 654 hp/. Ferrari equipped the V6 engine with a "Hot-Vee" format featuring its turbochargers between the cylinder heads allowing for a faster throttle response, and tighter package. The 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB develops a tire-shredding 819 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque when armed with a hybridized variant of the F163 V6. Despite its troublesome past, the V6 engine appears to be powering some of the most powerful performance cars in the world today.
With today's V6 high-performance engines posting similar figures to iconic V8 engines of old, a question arises. What are the best performance engines you can buy today from the most iconic automotive brands?
